Portugal: In the King Cup of Champions final, Al-Nassr suffered a sad loss against Al-Hilal to finish their season. Cristiano Ronaldo of Al-Nassr started crying after the defeat.

While Ronaldo’s season did finish on a tragic note, the Portuguese legend’s most recent campaign proved to be historic in terms of his personal accomplishments.

Ronaldo, who is 39 years old, scored 50 goals for Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr in all competitions last season. He was able to win the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot title for the 2023–24 season because of his outstanding performance.

The Portuguese player achieved a first by winning Golden Boots in four separate nations.

Ronaldo’s 35 goals in the Saudi Pro League during the previous season also set a record for the most goals scored in a single season in that league. For the first time since 2016, when he was playing for the mighty Real Madrid in Europe, he also scored 50 goals in a single season.

After finishing a season that broke all records, he is currently enjoying time with his family before turning his attention to the international circuit in preparation for the 2024 European Championship.

As of right now, Ronaldo is the only male football player to have played for Portugal in five different Euros, and this month, he’s likely to extend the record to six.

The only other male player to score three goals or more in several Euros is the Portuguese international. In 2016, he was instrumental in leading Portugal to victory in the Euros.
